I just find it kinda crazy how water gets worse every season. It was strong at the beginning with Articuno and then Gyarados, Palkia Manaphy was also pretty decent but after that almost no viable water cards for like 4 seasons no exept for maybe Wishiwashi or Primarina if you wanna count that. Worst type by far. Greenninja might be the only water pokemon you can actually play in ramked right now š¤

I made a Kingdra ex deck with the new Gyarados. Added two pyukumukus. Try and let a pyukumuku or two fall, then clean up with Kingdra, keep her healed up with Lillie as long as possible. Once she's close to being knocked out, bring out Gyarados and erase the bench for 140 finisher. Climbing UB3 at the moment. Added Guzma to help with the Espeon decks

Why not use glaceon that does 50 damage to any pokemon? That way you can ship at something on their bench and use Cyrus to force it out next turn

I have a way to make water viable again. Make a Must use Poketool for water type pokemon only that makes your coinflips always tails. This tool must be used during the first two of your turns. Also make a water mon that has a skill Made for fliping tails.
I admit to not having thought the details of this all the way through but I think if they dont want to address misty directly, side stepping it like This is the only way forward for water.

I tried pairing Kindra EX with Crabominable EX and while they synergize really nicely with Crab scoring early KOs and enabling Kingdra to come in with Cyrus for checkmate situations....its just too damn slow. Starting horsea is fine but you realllllllly want crab in the active spot and powering horsea doesn't guarantee you'll find Kingdra in time. So as sad as it is to say...yeah...just run Sylveon EX. I hate that card with a passion but no other card can get stage 2's online better than it.

I love Kingdra to death but idk why anyone would run it instead of Primarina who has higher HP, better damage, has sustain, and can attack for 1 energy. And Primarina itself isnāt all that great when compared to the meta picks š
