There is a really good series of games on PS2 and Dreamcast that just often flies under the radar of everyone: Tokyo Xtreme Racer. You dont see the characters, their faces, their voice, nothing. Its often just a silhouette and a short description for one of the games. You actually race in a racing game that is challenging, difficult to master and is often unfair. Its the un-pussy racing game. The game doesnt hold your hand, and gives you the choice of 100 something cars to buy at the start and drops your ass straight into the highway. You gotta know your way around cars and racing to play... a car and racing game. No politics no agendas, just rawdog japanese-style highway racing in your maxed out favorite 90's shitbox. They're releasing a new game in 2025, and the teaser dropped last month, it sorta blew up but its promising as fuck. Please do check out the 2025 entry as it launches, becausd its set to be a pure game.
