You know, I like this because it doesn't dismiss the curse, but it gives it an actual, logical (by the story) explanation.

It might have been a self-fulfilled prophecy. Estrid rejecting Loki caused his emotions to go crazy.
That caused his Conquerors to go unstable, which resulted in the curse of Elbaf.

I like this theory, especially because we learn in Wano that a "cursed" sword isnt actually cursed, it's just too strong for the average person to use/control so they think its cursed , literally just like Loki :o
