I sell insurance… LITERALLY every 18-23 year old who calls me who’s in the army is buying either a mustang, charger, or challenger. When I tell them their rate is 600 a month due to a Christmas list of tickets, almost all say, that’s almost HALF my car payment. This 21 year old kid called me and said his car payment was 1200, 2016 Camaro. I started telling him he should look at other cars and his dealer started screaming at me 😂 these poor kids getting gutted by the dealers..

20% interest? Is their credit score 450 and they have no deposit? The average loan is 4 to 10 percent. Technically if you purchase a car via a credit card, I could see the rate being 19.99%. But still, a traditional loan should not be that high.

I bought a car when I got to my permanent duty station in camp lejeune. I had 6 % interest rate on the car. I have no idea where they got those cars and even less idea why you would be so stupid to even consider paying that interest rate
