Sometimes wrestlers in particular have a hard time with that at first, wrestling is higher paced and more tiring than bjj

Of course, we shouldn't roll too hard in practice. However, strenght is an attribute that we can use while playing jiujitsu in the same way as agility, flexibility, speed, endurance, stamina etc.

Coach, you have made a video showing your natural flexibility and how you use it to great effect. But are you using ijujitsu or are you using your flexibility? Are you winning the chess game by following the rules, or are you sneakily moving some pieces when the opponent isn't looking?

If you're a hobbyist sure, competitors have to roll hard or else they get too comfortable in bad positions

I mean if you bust out e4 bc6 Qf3 Q x f7 ++ I mean that’s the equivalent of going balls to the walls not knocking over the pieces
Too many people compare BJJ to chess but don’t know the game
There’s 9 pieces that can only move so many directions that’s like saying there are only 9 submissions.
Stop comparing A battle of wits too a battle of stamina and technique they are different.

Nahhhh, use all your strength as long as you’re not gassing out, keep on keeping on. If their jiu jitsu can’t beat your strength, that’s their problem 🤷🏽‍

If you have good technique, and you’re not fighting a dude 30lb heavier than you - you should be able to beat them. But yeah, big dudes & strong guys - you will hit a wall really quickly if you just use your meathead strength (without technique ofc)

How could a newbie utilise all of what you are saying..better said than done...

So.... youre saying jujitsu is a game, not a fighting style? Maybe mind your own business and keep on with the combat sport, and let others train self defense if they want to.
