I have had both in my time. When I was at RAF Scampton, we would always try and stop at the lights on the 23 end when a Vulcan was winding up top go. Even better if there was scramble of the ORP. Meanwhile, in the tower if they sat there for a timed take of, the alert was that howl before they went thundering past the tower.
