I like how they console themselves. You sent your best soldiers to get some Russian land for leverage; they fell into a trap,they are being pummeled to pulp daily and you have nothing for leverage.
No diversion of Russian forces from Donbass was achieved and Ukraine has lost more territory since the incursion.

Kursk offensive proved that Russians can play dumb when the opponent is that dumb to remove its best troops from Donbass for unachievable objectives :
A/ Capture the Kursk nuclear power plant
B/ Provoke the fall of Putin
Russia
C/ Move some Russian troops from Donbass to Kursk
In fact all these objectives will
be reversed :
a) The Kursk power plant is now fully protected (Russia had already brought troops there well before the Kursk incursion)
b) The approval for the war in Russia has increased since then and the disaproval for Zelensky's conduct of the war has grown ever since in Ukraine
c) It's Ukraine that has transfered troops from Donbass to Kursk, not Russia.
ANOTHER Failure for Ukraine now losing badly in Donbass and starting to retreat in Kursk Oblast with humiliation to come once all troops pushed out of Russia or destroyed.
And a masterful lure by Russia faking to have been both surprised and taken off balance by something they did not expect when in fact they knew about it well in advance and that's why they had brought troops around the nuclear plant.
But they just wanted the Ukrainians to get in the trap so that they weaken the Ukrainian side in Donbass.

What a nonsense ,Kursk offensive prove that western curators of Ukraine army are bunch of amateurs ,they pushed Ukraine to sacrifice best army units in senseless offensive in area without any significance .Serious forces get bog down in Kursk silent and can not be used in Donbas where real army activities are commencing .

Kursk told us one thing. That western limitation on use of weapons for Ukraine are wrong. We basically allowed Russia to overstreatch in Ukraine without consequences.
