Why Renting Your Business Space Is A Mistake

If you’re a small business owner paying rent to someone else—you’re missing a massive wealth-building opportunity. Instead of throwing money away, buy your own space: a shed, storage unit, office condo, or even part of a larger building.

Here’s why this strategy works:
• Build equity instead of paying your landlord’s mortgage.
• Depreciate the building for huge tax write-offs.
• Potentially pay less than your current rent.
• Even if you’re in a lease, you may only be on the hook until the landlord finds a new tenant.

Stop making your landlord rich—start owning your future.

It does cost more to own it, and you get all the downhill fees that can normally come up from owning as opposed to renting. Still, long term, if you have a viable business, it saves money, it just costs more upfront and for the next 20 years.
