We can't change how we were raised, but as adults we can work on who we are now. There are so many resources available to us. Therapy is definitely an option.
Identify which style you are so you can work on it. Couples can help each other by having safe, open, & regular communication. One of the worst things a secure person can do is give in to an insecure persons excessive dependency or fearful behavior. Set clear & rational boundaries.
