It's a testament to Chester's talent as a storyteller that he's essentially narrating his personal nightmare of mental health struggles and drug addiction, and it transcends any narrow definitions and became anthemic to whole generations dealing with an increasingly isolated societal structure.
As he says in Breaking the Habit, "I don't know what's worth fighting for, or why I have to scream...but now I have some clarity to show you what I mean."

Dude nu metal peaked a lot before 2003 say 99 2000 when limp Bizkit was the height of their powers. Nu metal was metal for the football team. Just like pennywise and bro punk at the same time. They did have the punk attitude they were bully's and had shitty music . like Linkin park they were way more than nu metal and broke away from the limp bizkit bro fans. They keep revolutionizing their sound p

Some Nu metal music videos were pretty corny. I love Linkin Park's surreal videos more than the Numb video with the teenage girl that gets bullied. I think the song slaps harder without that corny video in mind.
Somewhere I belong is one of my favourite tracks of all time and Hybrid Theory and Meteora are masterpieces from start to finish.
