I do baking soda a splash of vinegar and whatever dish soap I have dawn works best. Mainly baking soda and dish soap so its thick. I scrub it in then glop the paste onto the stained parts then scrub it as usual and it's gone.

Bases and acids mixed together neutralize. Use one or the other

Where are your pans from? Looking for new and want to get something you would recommend

Honestly you don’t even need to wait. Just make the paste in the pan and use a scrubby apparatus to clean it, just like you would w soap. The baking soda is such a fine abrasive that it readily removes material without much effort.
For really tenacious chunks, use a scraper, anything will work, as long as it’s thin and firm. Follow all of this up w a quick soap and water wash and you should be good to go.

I use a powder named bon-Ami and it works well but now I’m wondering if the ingredients in it may not be so great 😅

Well, I mean, abbrasives generally makes pans/pots not last as long though? 🤔

I would avoid nonstick pans altogether since they don't last as long as cast iron, carbon steel or stainless steel! Ofc your lifestyle plays a part. If you don't have the time to build that seasoning or want to use less cooking oil, then go keep buying nonstick I support you

Aren’t you concerned about the baking soda being converted into carbon dioxide?
