You failed to mention the shield Generator on your back saving you from several hits.
Try it without on super helldive and you'll see that diving won't always save you.

When u have democracy protects u can even solo diff 9 missions on illuminates without dying or using stim while beeing oneshot to everything if ur not lucky. Just make sure to not get into big groups of voteless or these tripot walkers otherwise ur fcked. Its insanely hard and i only managed to do it one time without doing side missions. Even tho i triedlike 20+ times or more. But its definitely possible if dive at the right times

Uhh I’m sorry but diving is definitely it the best way to survive at least on higher difficulty levels. Diving costs a lot of stamina, so if you’re trapped in a horde it’s gonna wast all of your stamina and there’s gonna be no way out. Also in the video it seems like your shield generator is protecting you, not diving

If u dive backwards u can shoot while diving... they can and will catch up...
