Three reasons to use the cutting board.
1. You can clean it off at the sink.
2. You won't scratch or gouge your countertop or STOVETOP.
3. You risk dulling or damaging your knives. Cutting boards are a little bit softer for this reason.
If you dont have a cutting board, then buy a cutting sheet from Dollar Tree. Or use a paper plate.
