I haven't been to church since i was a kid, today that changed I took my family to church for the first time. It was amazing. Thabk you Charlie for opening my eyes. I unfortunately never got to meet you but listening to you for the past year reminded me of my roots and opening my mind to ways I never thought before. God bless you and your family. As a Christian, I went to a bad place in my heart when this happened to Charlie, I still am dealing with it. But to see things like this just means so much to our Lord Jesus so we need to guide these young Christians and act accordingly! I am so blessed in many ways because I have an amazing God! At the beginning of September I had a serious medical emergency. A neck/cervical fusion I'd had in December of 24 had a catastrophic failure and started to crush my spinal cord causing the entire right side of my body to become paralyzed and serious numbness and weakness on my left side. Eventually after multiple ER visits, an ER doctor listened, looked at the MRI, took it upon himself to go find the neurosurgeon who ultimately saved my life. I had surgery on September 13th. 10 plus hours and an additional 13 hours of them breathing for me. I was transferred to a rehab facility 4 days after surgery, (was there for 10 days) and came home this past Friday, no longer paralyzed, able to walk again, but still needing to gain my strength back. I was in the hospital when Charlie was taken from his family. I had been baptized back in 2018, but after all this happened, I bought a Bible and have started reading it from page 1. When I met the neurosurgeon (4 days before my surgery), I had an overwhelming sense of calm, trust, etc and I knew in that moment God was working a miracle for me. And he did.. As soon as I got home Friday and settled, I opened that Bible that had been here waiting for me and just started reading and then also praying. Thank you God for giving me my life back. And thank you Charlie.... Ps my neck/spine is now fused from C1 to T2.... C is for cervical and T is for thoracic..... God is good and I am blessed!!!
