Maybe he's trying to bring out a point? Because you're essentially implying it's useless to give to the poor because it will have no rewards but tithes and offerings will do? We give to the poor because we are doing the Lord's work. Jesus says if we do so, then we will be doing it to him. So this is the reward, that we are establishing His Will here on earth ❤. Sir, God desires mercy than sacrifice. People on the streets to eat than the offering itself. I'm not against offering, I do give it even without a preacher telling me to, to me it is to God in Thanksgiving but we should not neglect our neighbors. It is a commandment ❤
