MARS:- A Planet Like Earth 🤔 w/ Professor Brian Cox

To date, no proof of past or present life has been found on Mars. Cumulative evidence suggests that during the ancient Noachian time period, the surface environment of Mars had liquid water and may have been habitable for microorganisms, but habitable conditions do not necessarily indicate life.

It has everything we need, except a decent atmosphere and no magnetosphere, two of the most important things to have life.

The end of life on Mars would have been preceded by oceans shrunken into polar lakes with the harshest of environments. Just the laboratory needed to evolve life hardy enough for transplanetary travel.

Interesting that Mars had juicy oceans while Earth was a lifeless lava bed. Only when the last vestiges of standing water & ice disappeared, did life suddenly erupt on Earth. Could a great splash in the Precambrian days have sent life to earth?

I have heard that due to Mars gravity and its effect on lowering water’s boiling point, human beings blood would naturally boil on Mars. But so many physicists talk about mars like we could live there and it’s just very weird.
