Yes, it's extremely good at absorption. It's going to absorb your energy too. You can market it as a workout bike for riders trying to improve their endurance. Anything can be sold if you find the right people and market the product in the right way.

Would never work in a high speed scenario such as mountain biking. Any delay in forward momentum would either buck the rider while at speed, or it would deflect to hard in one direction of spring travel and break. There is a very good reason why suspensions are designed to travel along the perpendicular axis or at a gradual angle!

Alls to say though this could be useful for other systems that require no suspension setups but the engineers would like to provide some cushioning. Maybe for go kart or pallet jack.

Front wheel. Shows with enough force it could bend the shocks
Rear wheel. Shows more accuracy but quickly loosens the chain. Causing a chain slip. Looks cool

Looks worse than traditional setups. That's at a low speed and gentle drop. Shock asborber works in a linear motion. The front wheel hit at an angel and would bend that piston in no time.

Nobody pointed out that the centre of the wheel moves, so on high impact, the tyres will hit the frame effectively, stopping and throwing you off.
Need a 29" frame and forks for 26" wheels
