The Apatosaurines are some of my favorite Sauropods because between the claws, whip tails, and brolic necks it seems like they were just built for war.

I knew their necks where reinforced since the Bronto remodel in BoB but I never actually saw their necks compared to the necks of other Sauropods, now I see why brontosmash is such a big thing now! Thank you for expanding our brains!

This kinda thing makes me think about how horribly modified some crustations are. Like, a dinosaur is a tetrapod & definitively not bug-like at all, but this is what comes to mind.

I grew up with the idea that brontosaurus and apatosaurus were the same species. Watching your video made me look into it, and found out the Brontosaurus genus was reinstated years ago. It was cool learning about that.

"Neck ribs" might be the most body horror inducing phrase I've heard in a while, so thanks for that.

I wonder if air/blood pressure could have played a role in these "bumpersaurus-es".

Something like an echinoderm water vascular system

Kinda reminds me of the head-swining fights giraffes get into in modern day!

Do we see two distinct morphotypes? Cuz that would make that argument more convincing.

So did dwarves like Europasaurus have a similar situation with their vertebrae. They just had their growth rate slow and stop off, so I don't know if that's any indicator of how it's relatives changed shape in vertebrae as they grew mature

Would this mean that the windpipe/digestive track/arteries would have run up in between the cervical neck ribs?
