There was a guy who had the same issue, what he did was rent the house out to a biker gang, in which he hired them, so they moved in when the squatter left to go grocery shopping, came back and all their things were outside in the yard and the biker gang was there.

The way to solve this is to sign a new tenancy agreement and rent the property to your parents, brother or sister. After that he had to leave.

My mom went through this for 8 years. It was a property she owned and wanted to sell when she retired. It finally worked out but no one should have to wait 8 years to sell their own property.
