Absolutely correct.
If you want to build muscle you do more to failure, if you do to strength you have one or two reps left to failure.
The former often requires more recovery.

Dude, I love your channel and content, but have one curiosity 👇

Have you listened to any soundtrack of Doom 2016 or Doom Eternal. Trust me give it a go, and you'll be flying through the bar with your working sets

i do slowly gradual increase in colume then at certain volume decrease colume and increase difficulty of exercise. i may not go to failiure always but i'm increasing "stimulus" every session

Research has repeatedly shown that there’s little, if any, benefit in terms of hypertrophy to training to actual failure versus training close to failure, i.e., technical failure.

There is a concept that i'm not really understanding right, and maybe some of you can explain it more clearly: If you build more muscles mass then you should logically be stronger? I don't understand what's really the difference in results between the two training methods…

no you grow the most muscle tissue through optimal hypertrophy conduction and that's through muscular failure which is what allows you to increase strength just as evenly and just as optimally because you increase strength by being able to recruit more muscle fibers/motor units.

I used to do normal pushps for high volume but never progressed. I started adding weights and started doing 90% till failure each set.
Triceps and chest starging growing like crzy
It's just the belief that we subconsciously create in our minds by looking others stressing themselves out till the end which creates an impression this is the correct way but the truth is different.

That first guy has got his right shoulder rounded forward much more than left one. I have same assymetry, don't know how to deal with it. I see it on videous of my reps but don't feel it while doing them

Does anyone know how many pull-ups one should get up to before you start thinking about adding weight?

How should I test my max rep ? Should I hit the bar right after warm up and test it or should I follow a different approach ?

@andre6_9

So if my rep max is 50kg i should use 40 kg for reps?
