A set of those would be great for making characters with aggressively low levels, by effectively rerolling 6's, and skewing the probability of rolling a 1 to be twice that of the other numbers on the die.
Doing the opposite would also be fun for making abnormally strong characters by the same token.
I wonder if anyone sells sets of dice like that specifically lol

Dont remember the company, but there are sets like these sold as cheat dice. There are also the opposite model, with two of the highest numbers, and there are full sets from D4 to D100. I think they are for DMs who want to fudge rolls even when they roll openly.

It's likely a misprint, but it could also be a trick/cheat die. Though I'm not sure why you would want a cheat die that has two 1s instead of two 6s, haha.

That seems to be a miscast. I've seen 1 to 3 twice, and Betrayal at the House on the Hill has 0, 1, and 2 each twice, but I've never seen a six-sider with two 1's. That's not a d5, as those exist, and man are they weird, and this one would have a 1/3 chance of a 1, so...

This is what you give your range focused rogue when they start to get uppity.

Your typical Cursed Shortsword's damage, or something on that note. Give it some positive effect that outweights the damage loss, add in an unlikely to occur and maybe secret horrible effect that can trigger in time or specific conditions (Like rolling 1s for damage X amount of times), and wait for the magic.

One way to use it: you roll a 1 which is a crit, then you roll it again and see whether you got the good crit or the bad based off even or odd with 1’s not counting unless wanted. If 1’s are counted then it’s 1/3 chance to get good crit and 1/2 without them
