Hey everyone! Hope you had a great Xmas, and a wonderful Hanukkah...or any other tradition one observed. Back for another short for boxing day. This song, "Wrong 'Em Boyo", this album "London Calling", and specifically this band - The Clash, are very near and dear to me, especially during this time of year thinking of friends and family. The Clash were a band my older brother used to love, hence I was exposed to them in my preteens...or actually a little before that I guess. I'm pretty sure he came home with Give 'Em Enough Rope upon release in around this time of year 1978. I also remember him the following year grqbbing their self titled debut (obviously the north American release of the debut) which had come out in '77...but not on this side of the pond.

Anyway. I never quite got it back then...except for Topper. I definitely dug the "feel".(I mean of all the punk he liked, The Clash and Topper were likely my faves) but my bro Stevie loved The Clash! I've come to love them just as much. Likely no coincidence it's Give 'Em Enough Rope I like the best...followed closely by the debut. This particular track (for the uninitiated) is from London Calling. This too is an incredible album imho. Though admittedly I live them all...even Sandinista! and Combat Rock. I acknowledge the last lp, Cut The Crap, but is that really The Clash? Or a Joe Strummer (RIP 2002) solo that even he refused to acknowledge and distance after it's release. No Jones, no Simonon, and no Topper Headon. Yes, it is an lp labeled as "The Clash" though I think only due to label commitment?!!

Thank you for all who take the time to watch, comment, and like. I really appreciate all whom do so. Hope you all enjoy your holidays, your day, evening...whatever. Hope you dig this one. I could've chose so many. See you on the next one. Take care. (Sorry for the shaking camera...I'm experimenting with a selfie holder device, which I've never tried before).

Cheers! 🍻🤔
