Iâve recently beat it. It is hard. UNGODLY hard. Especially the final boss. However towards the end of the game (Messmer onwards) it starts to feel a little more fair than earlier. I think it might be due to the camera generally being less problematic and moves being slightly more telegraphed. I think the damage is fine, boss HP is a little too high for my liking but still generally reasonable. The only complaint is that theyâre generally really aggressive and give you almost no time to recover and heal.

I don't think the DLC is too hard, I just think it suffers from the same problem as the base game: bosses are balanced around split aggro and spirit summons. Ramping up difficulty has worked great in the past for FS because bosses haven't had to operate like this. However, when you do that in this game, you end up with, well.... I'll just say "phase 2 of a certain someone"

Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1-3, Bloodbourne & Sekiro have not appealed or gained nearly as much hype as Elden Ring. A large amount of people playing Elden Ring have never played another FromSoft game or souls like for that matter. It was a major mainstream success. That being said, I think a lot of those people are the ones complaining.
However, as a souls veteran myself, I do feel that the DLC content is a little overturned with somethings just being straight up unfair. However itâs still doable and I will complete the DLC on my own time.

I agree but I understand why people are complaining. Typically you could just abuse certain mechanics in the game making each fight a lot easier, with the new damage scaling thatâs impossible so people are sad. Personally Iâm my first play throughs are blind so no maps or anything, meaning my characters are always weak so it doesnât bother me but I understand. Stay strong fellow tarnishedâ¤

I personally love the dlc but my only problem is the final boss since from my playthrough he barely takes any damage and takes 75% of my health with one swipe even though I have a level 17 scadutree. Apart from that one boss though I think it was an amazing dlcđ

I ainât gonna lie, itâs a fucking task to try and get through some areas but itâs still the most fun Iâve had since the release of the base game 2 years ago. I fucking love this DLC

The point of the game is to learn from your mistakes. Rellana took me 9 builds and eight hours to beat. You have to manage your flasks and learn openings. Thatâs why itâs hard
