I'm a joiner of 21 years. You're the only Plasterer that does that for the skirts and you have no idea how much I appreciate it.

Thatโ€™s the difference between a standard tradesman and a craftsmen I believe. The craftsman understands the process before and after his visit

Fair play to you mate! Leaving the site ready for the second fix man to crack on with his work is what puts a craftsman above a tradesman.

Your bang on about it generating work for yourselves, Iโ€™ve been to second fix a job and seen how neat the plastering around boxes was, and asked the customer whoโ€™s the plasterer so I can recommend him next time

As a chippy seeing you clean the bottom of the wall braught a tear to my eye.

I ask the plasterers all the time to do this but after first skim it's back to massive lumps all along the bottom.

You sir are a Saint

Very good tip. These are basics that should be mastered in the beginning. Everyone seems to avoid the basics and jump the gun. Great tip ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ(me personally I used to like the plaster to go a bit brown. Then smash it out. When itโ€™s soft. I found too much would come off around the sockets

As a sparky I 100% agree with you!
Not only that sometimes you chip the plaster away from the boxes and no matter how easy you go the plaster can end up chipping and then itโ€™s left to the painter
