oh my gosh hi! i resonate with this so much. a couple years ago i detransitioned from being transmasc and it turned out im just a woman. but im not embarrassed or ashamed of the trans person i used to be. he deserved love just like my cis self does now.

So glad there's people taking it like this!! I've seen so many people detransitioning or figuring out they weren't queer and beginning to look down on their older self or other members of the lgbt community. You're sososo pretty nonetheless!!

Thank you for sharing this. I donโ€™t like telling people how I used to think I was trans (FtM) last year, cause I know the trans community gets so much hate and people say itโ€™s โ€œjust a phaseโ€ and I feel like my experience makes it worse, yk? But Iโ€™m slowly accepting that itโ€™s perfectly normal going through changes to be wrong about your identity.๐Ÿค Edit: taking a part of my comment away. I thought this was a safe space but I guess no

I went through the opposite almost? Thought I was non-binary/genderfluid/more fem-aligned for YEARS, but I started taking T anyway because I felt a pull to transition and turns out I've never been happier as a binary trans male. Both of our experiences are valid stories of self discovery <33

honestly!! i also detransitioned but i donโ€™t have any resentment for how i identified over the years , i was growing as a person n still am, it makes me sad when ppl who detransition become transphobic cus that usually means they detransitioned out of fear/being forced to opposed to actually not being trans

as someone who identifies as trans ftm and has been for a few years now i'm so glad you're spreading awareness of this, i've seen sm people in the trans community shun people for detransitioning or otherwise finding out that any trans related identity isn't really for them anymore and have gone back to identify as cisgender! it breaks my heart bc questioning gender identity or sexuality is normal and i think it's great to have questions and explore who you really are even if one day you find out it's not for you :) it's important to explore these new feelings rather than oppress them so cheers to you for being your stellar authentic self ๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿฉต

real, i went through a whole lot of different genders, trying to find one i was comfortable in, but i figured out it was gender expression that was bothering me. my pronouns are she/they and i present more androgynous now, i am not at all ashamed of my journey or my past self โค๏ธ

It makes me happy when people say its okay to journey around trying to find what your comfortable with, just take your time and explore. <3

I think itโ€™s great people are able to be Gender-Curious and bounce back with out hate.

See, but these experiences are still so valid and healthy! Being in a space where you can be fluid and experiment with your gender is just really beautiful.

I did the whole she/they, they/them, they/he, he/him, and back pipeline. Iโ€™m they/she now, but Iโ€™ll never be ashamed of my masc times โœจ

Iโ€™m embarrassed because I came out as a trans guy last year and said I wanted to transition and only dressed masc. Then I realized I wanted to be non binary and dressed femme and I donโ€™t want to come back out to everyone

this made me quite happy lol. iโ€™m nonbinary and it took me a while to truly figure myself out and realize that presenting fem didnโ€™t stop me from being nonbinary, because i feel like a large amount of people think you have to present the same way your identity is, and i finally learned to be happy with myself and how i dress, even if its not up to everyoneโ€™s standards ๐Ÿ’œ

i remember when i was bi a few years ago, and i was peer pressured out of it. and all the people who peer pressured me out of it make fun of me for being bi then.

i thought i was nonbinary for a while but realized that i am a woman, i always feel ashamed and my friends made fun of me but i think that was an important part of discovering who i was and discovering my queer identity
