My pitbull only flips out when men come around my wife and kids, other than that she's groovy 99% of the time she loves kids loves women and if im there she's okay with guys too, just if im not there she will freak the hell out hard. Like scary hard

A good dog trainer can fix this problem. No medication is needed. That isn't going to fix the behaviors at all, its just gonna sedate the dog to a point they're loopy and sleepy and don't even have the energy to walk around. Speaking from experience with my reactive dog who used to resource guard. They put him on medication for anxiety and it did nothing for his negative behaviors, only made him so drugged up all he would do is sleep all day. That is not healthy. Thata just masking the problem. Medication should only be used if it turns out its a genetic thing that can't be fixed with behavior modification.
