The MM's are fire, but closed backs suck for mixing ime. To resonant in like 1.5-5k. It depends a lto on your ear too ig, but the HD400 pros are really sick and only 250 I think. I used planars for almost a decade and switched to them. Also had the hd600 and hd650 and still the hd400 always do well. Balancing in them kinda sucks, but that's what monitors are for

I like using shure 1440 and shure 1840 open back headphones.. had em for 12 years now. Sonarworks headphone calibration at the end of master chain with 2-4db tilt boost in on lows and highs
