15 or 20 years ago I lived near Houston Texas. The local TV stations reported that the Houston hospitals were running out of blood and asked for donors. I called the local hospital in Tomball and asked where I could donate. They knew nothing about being low on blood and didn't know where to donate. I've never tried again since that time.
