Ever since the World Wrestling Federation began giving out signed deals, there has been debate over the term "independent contractor" and what the company should actually have exclusivity over.
Jesse Ventura got an offer to star in a video game which was set to be released on Sega Genesis. Vince McMahon told Jesse he couldn't do it causing Ventura to quit the WWF.
Jesse argues that he should be able to take any deals and wrestle anywhere since he is an "independent contractor". Vince felt differently however and the rest is history.

That's how a lot of trucking companies say their employees are independent contractors I actually beat a couple companies with the labor commission the key thing is if you're an independent contractor you set your own time when you going to start when a company tells you what your start time you are an employee I don't care if you signed a paper or not
