I havenβt any direct experience with the Dreamcast but I have still played some of the games you listed or games directly inspired by it, kinda crazy how influential it is when it was also such a flop.

I absolutely HATE....... that the Dreamcast was Sega's last dedicated console. The best years of console gaming were when Sega and Nintendo competed fiercely with relatively equal marketshare. Sega's own fault that they lost, however. So many dumb decisions on their part in the 32-bit era set the stage for their eventual exit from the game console market.
