I couldn’t agree more. My baby’s father is a person who sexually assaulted me. He’s stalked me and I don’t post ANYTHING about my baby to protect my baby and me. There are no exceptions and you will lose a friend very quickly if you go against my wishes like that 😬

Last year, we encountered a cool Halloween house and as my daughters went to trick-or-treat I noticed the display that included fun music and a "dance floor" lit up had a tri-pod phone set-up recording all the kids dancing in costumes. I got my kids out of frame and explained to be on the lookout and avoid anything like that. I'm not a fan of our current societal norms of recording other people (in this direct fashion) without full consent.

Don’t answer your door in a huff because your porch light is on but you aren’t participating in Halloween. Everyone knows that is the signal!

Some kids are fosters or adoptees and cannot be posted online. Some friends of mine adopted a kid and they can’t post her online until she’s been legally theirs for 6 months for safety reasons. Foster kids could have been removed from homes for their safety and bio parents not know where they’ve been placed for the child’s protection. Many Asian countries have laws on posting adopted children online for the first year of adoption. You don’t know a kids story, don’t post them.
