Creative Direction & Inspirations

Donatella Versace aimed to evoke optimism, joy, and light — a kind of antidote to darker global moods.

There was a strong throwback to the 1990s, especially Versus (a diffusion line that Donatella launched earlier in her career). Patterns, prints, and styling leaned into nostalgia.

The “youthful” energy was emphasized — less sexy-bombshell, more playful, casual fun in how pieces were styled and combined.


Designs, Fabrics, Colors & Key Looks

Prints and clash: zigzag tops, floral skirts, mixed prints on silk, chainmail, knits.

Color palette: lilac, blue, yellow, brown, muted pastels along with stronger accents (like shimmering gold). Also a lot of uplifting color combinations.

Silhouettes were varied: slip dresses, cardigan combinations, short-shorts and denim, pants with bright tones, men’s leather jackets paired with soft colored bottoms.

Some technologically interesting pieces: One gold sequin strapless dress was 3-D printed and constructed without seams, programmed for the Versace hourglass silhouette.

Gigi Hadid made a return to the runway, walking in a 70s floral dress with orange tights and nude heels. Her presence underscored the show’s mix of nostalgia and renewed glam.

Hyunjin from Stray Kids also made a statement, reinforcing his status with an outfit in Versace’s signature Barocco print, paired with leather and bold accessories.

Overall mood: Uplifting, bright, playful. Versace consciously responded to “darkness in the world” with fashion that feels alive, color-rich, and optimistic.
