Cheese & Za’atar breadsticks

200g Greek style or Natural yogurt *
260g Plain Flour & 1/2 tsp baking powder or self raising flour
120 Chedder Cheese grated (I recommend grating your own)
4 Tbs zaatar
Sprinkle of salt and pepper

*if you find the dough is too wet or sticky to be rolled out just sprinkle some more flour before rolling or while kneading

Mix the salt, yogurt, cheese and za’atar and then add the flour. Mix with spoon and then finish with your hands and knead for a few minutes. Put in the bowl and cover with tea towel for 15-30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 190C

Shape the dough into a rectangle and then roll it out as thin as you can. Slice down the middle and then into strips about 1cm wide.

Brush with oil and sprinkle some more zaatar if you wish. Bake 15-20 min keeping an eye on them, leave to cool completely on a wire rack

Store airtight for 5 days, if they go a little soft reheat for a few minutes in a hot oven and you can sprinkle some more zaatar on top they’ll taste freshly baked.
