It’s very true that people are attracted to smart people. Unfortunately this does not apply to me, especially with the fact that I have ADHD and autism. My thoughts are always all over the place, and I have a hard time expressing myself clearly. I do feel things deeply but I am unable to put them into words. Still, I keep showing up, even if no one’s really looking my way.

It's so true! Maybe it's a weird way of putting it, but I often find myself being attracted to people's brains.😄 It's truly a pleasure to meet such people, because only a few of them stay humble despite their success.
To me, the perfect example would be the movie Good Will Hunting. It's one of the greatest movies ever made imo. It perfectly captures how becoming an expert in something can change one either for the better or the worse. My favorite character from that movie is Sean, the therapist, played by Robin Williams (he was an amazing actor and also a good person irl, RIP). This movie is packed with amazing dialogues, but two of them stand out to me.
The first one is when Sean has a conversation with Will (the main character, a mathematical genius with a difficult background) in a park. He basically tells Will that even though he is a genius when it comes to Math and stuff, there are still a lot of things he knows nothing about (knowledge, that comes with experience and can't be learnt from books). It's a beautifully written scene.
The other one I like is when Sean has a heated convo with prof Gerald Lambeau. (Him and Sean were roommates in their uni years. Prof Lambeau became a Math professor, and Sean became a psychologist.) Initially they are talking about Will and his future, but slowly their old wounds flare up. The professor has become a bit egoistic and obsessive person, while Sean (who has a similar background to the one of Will) managed to become a healthy and humble man with self acceptance. Both are experts in their own field, but their personalities very much differ.
It's truly an amazing movie. I can't get bored of it, no matter how many times I rewatch it!
