In the Navy many many moon's ago I had a job called a "Hot gun crew" (ask someone who did it what was involved, you will shit 😬) we wore ear plugs and muffs and that wasn't enough, gun's were 5"/54's, the shock wave of air was a real rush from about 75 feet away. The Navy wrecked my ears, but hey I ain't complaining.

Heres one for you.
As most have heard Maine had a mass shooting several months ago and in the course of the investigation, they learned that he had been denied a suppressor because he stated he had been admitted with psychological issues .
They went on to say that because he was denied a suppressor many more people could have died because they wouldn't have been able to hear him. Apparently they don't know that a suppressor on a 308 is still quite loud and you're not going to hide it from too many people.

From what I gather suppressors are actually required for hunting in Sweden lol and may be purchased just like ammo. I’m with Karl, let’s reduce noise pollution AND save our hearing.
