Silent crouch walking isn't THAT big of a deal, now people are just going to sit in one spot rather than move/flank/etc. The bigger issue imo, is the fact that you can hear someone ads from 100m away, through a building, across the street, in the basement.

I feel the same way about the crouch walking. I think it should be silent or bordering on silent or there will no longer be any point to playing stealthily. It will go back to the pre-inertia days of people running around like COD operators.

I sometimes feel like the devs are literally deaf, or severely hard at hearing. Go ahead and test it right now, stand up and crouch...Lemme know when you're next door neighbours start complaining about the noise. You can do this with other things too, like tilt your head aka "aim" When the police show up thinking a fight was going on, just tell them you're a dev from BSG.

I have been screaming for YEARS at this point that game development by democracy does not work. Not happy at all about the obliteration of crouch walking. It always seemed logical for me to give up mobility for silence. But I guess W key will be the only way to play now. Whatevs.

I searched a SCAV on a SCAV run after the patch and while searching through the vest of the dead Scav the sound that was played was the one that also plays when searching a PC, so, not sure what happened there...🤣

The problem with situations like the crouch walking is that BSG seldom manages to land a decent middle point, it is either 100% silent at any distance, or wardrums from nearly 50 meters.
Similar situations have happened in the past or is still the case with stuff like inertia, recoil, weight etc.
