Sorry, if I could just comment?
You don't really need the C214.. I understand... the AKG heritage is noteworthy.... but really, who gives a flying fling about that.... We're not talking about tradition.... it's all about with your voice, what mic makes you sound.... even better.
I can hear a bit of an improvement over your 'cheap' (but damned good MXL mic for your voice). However, imh(non-professional)o, before purchasing, you might want to consider a few other avenues...
You've made several albums, recorded many times in professional music studios.... if you haven't already done so, why not ask the folks who recorded and/or mixed those records if they could recommend a mic for you?
From your albums, for some reason Jazzmérica, brings out the best in your vocals. Your voice sounds clear, out front and more importantly, enchantingly full sounding.....
Les Feuilles Mortes/Autumn Leaves - is a perfect example.
Do you remember what mic you were using on it?
The other two examples are the mic you were using at home when you recorded Everything Must Change and Over The Rainbow. Can't recognize that mic, but is sure made your vocal sound really sweet.
Have you ever had any experience with using ribbon mics?
All I'm saying is that your voice deserves much better than the C214.... (no offense to AKG... I like their products too). Much luck 🤞🍀🌠.... have fun.
