I’m totally in love with Blacked Out Watches! Everything from the old school Porsche Design Orfina that Tom Cruise wore in the original Top Gun film (which has been recreated by Porsche Design as the Chronograph 1) to the Breitling Avenger Night Mission GMT, to the Watches that use different Blacked Out materials like the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic, the Omega Dark Side of the Moon Speedmasters (Ceramic), the Carbon Doxa Sub300’s, the Carbon Tudor Alinghi Red Bull Chronograph, the ‘Carbo-Tech’ Panerai Divers, the Ceratanium IWC Top Gun Pilots Chronographs, the AP Openworked Royal Oak in Ceramic, the Zenith A384 ‘Shadow’, the classic Chanel J12 in ceramic, the Sinn 1800 S GG Damaszen (made of Damascus Steel) as well as the DLC coated Sinn U1 with its Tegimented Submarine Steel, the DLC coated Titanium UN Freak X, the DLC coated Ochs und Junior Perpetual Calendar………….. the list goes on!
Give me a Blacked Out watch and even if I don’t like the Watch, I’ll probably wear it, APART FROM those daft Full Black Watches with Black dials and Black hands that are TOTALLY illegible like the Full Black Omega SMP300m and Speedy and the Full Black Octo Finissimo. Just a waste of money if you can’t read the time! ✊

It depends on the watch for me. I have a couple of Glycine Combat Subs that are blacked out. It works well on that Alpinist, which I never would have thought until I saw one.
