It's not a shirasaya. It's a kurosaya. Shirasaya means "white scabbard". Yours is black and therefore kurosaya. 😉

Wakizashi are between 1 and 2 shaku. (about 30 to 60 cm) uchigatana are from 2 shaku up (roughly 60+ cm) and tanto are less than 1 shaku ( <30 cm) usually shaku / sun / bu is the traditional way to measure the blade length (nagasa).
