Bullcrap, he literally said on public television in the 1970s that the squat was the worst way to create leg definition. Tom Platz also made it clear that Arnold never squatted outside of Pumping Iron.

I agree back squats are the best, but after decades of bending too much at the bottom I developed some bulging discs. So I've just started front squats for the first time. They felt good with just the bar, but now I'm using 100 lbs and even at that light weight having trouble holding the bar on the shoulders. Any tips? I see Arnold is using a pad, maybe that will help.

Guys if barbell squats hurt you cause you to be stiff all week plz stop doing them, i built big separated quads with leg extensions and leg pressing, its not about the exercise its about how you approach it and the intensity.

i always find fun the fact that the children on the internet do not know that volume is a main driver of hypertrophy. furthermore, that they know more than arnold which is insanity and ignorance at its finest. i dont think arnold knew what he was doing, i know he did. i am an issa elite trainer with 18 certifications from science for sport.
