To all the trolls complaining about this guy demonstrating an exploit, wake up and understand that this is how it works. Many criminals already know these things. Security professionals constantly release exploits like these at defcon and other areas to raise awareness of how insecure your "security" is and to help people recognize and improve basic issues. This guy didn't create the security issue, he just demonstrated it. Stop villainizing him for it.

There is a lot of hate hear about security exploits etc. thanks to this video I was able to get into my elderly mother in laws condo when she was unresponsive. Clearly there are first responders in this video clip and could have been saving someone’s life with this hack. Thanks guys

I showed the motel clerk this video. The next day he had to use this knowledge when a patron had a medical emergency and was unconscious in her room. He was able to quickly open her door. The ambulance was able to transport her immediately to the hospital.
