The hatred for software subscriptions is really strange to me. You'd rather pay $200 for this version and then another $200 when n the next version comes out instead of $4.99/mo? The continued flow of money lets companies keep developing and improving and you always get the latest and greatest.

I recommend it. I've been using windows tablets since 2013. It's just a faster workflow. Ouch, on the subscription.

I prefer one time purchase. We want a one time purchase option. Not monthly subscription

I hate subscriptions, but I make an exception for Logic. It is cheap and as far as I have seen now it is working very, very good on my old Ipad air 3.
And it replaces a lot of other apps that never really seem to work exactly the way I wanted it what made me buy other newer apps every week to try them.
If I buy only one or two cheap apps a month less it is well worth the money.
With logic, the Fabfilter apps, the Moog apps I already own and some other really professional apps I can do everything I want.

I totally agree. The subscription is just another mess to deal with. What if you need to take a break ? No freedoms to this lame approach

Normally a subscription would not be that great. But, it looks like Apple is keeping Garage Band around and updated, which is free. So, you could get by with Garage Band if you didn’t feel like keeping up the subscription to logic pro for iPad. It’s a much better situation than a lot of other companies put customers in.

I think the feedback from consumers will help control this type of thing perhaps. If enough people refuse to use it on subscription maybe they will change it. But honestly for the utility and convenience of having LP with me on the fly and being able to download ideas to my Mac into LPX I’ll go with it and think of it as a extension tool for capturing creative moments. Plus having Logic on iPad for live performance with my stems will be amazing!

Yeah, Apple, if you’re listening, where are interested in subscriptions for this application. You can advertise the iPad, just with logic pro to sell the hardware, much cheaper than buying a Mac with logic and learning to use it now that it comes with.

Maybe if we keep voicing as music producers, there will be a one-time fee in the near future. I am not for subscriptions whatsoever.

As a customer, I don't like subscriptions, but as a software vendor, I love it.
