Age of Conan was released 16 years ago and was great at the time. It did not have microtransactions, and a M rated mmo with combo based combat was good fun. The graphics were quite good for an mmo at the time too. Unfortunately Funcom is very good at somehow screwing up everything they touch. Masters of "almost" making excellent games, and then progressively making them worse over time.

To be fair...
It sucks for what it is.
I never played it.
But for what it's worth, it's admirable that it's still running, allowing players to RP and what not.
I think you don't get that anywhere else.
Same for Conan Exiles. They actually are starting to unfumble their Chinese overlords mess a bit with recent patches on that game.

It was a very fun game at release... good quality boobies, finishers and Expansion gave us interesting factions. Game just aged poorly.
