I argued with our JV high school softball coach about this same topic. He's a know it all who thinks our varsity coach, whose a female, lettered all 4 years of high school, and went omfg to play in college, knows nothing about fastpitch softball. Ughh
Anyway, my daughter was a pretty decent catcher, everyone but me said she's amazing. She was out for a couple of weeks due to a concussion. Our backup varsity pitcher pitched the first game of a double header. He then put her into catch. She was out the rest of the season due to pulling ligaments in her shoulder.
