Controller was rightâŚ. If you want to cut the fuel so close that you canât idle while in the taxi Congo line⌠thats on you and your company. In busy airports such as JFK, you know youâre going to be 30th in line. Donât leave with min block fuel and hope you can cut the line by whining that you may have to go back to the gate if you dont get priority (knowing that it may screw with the controllerâs flow, hoping they will push in up). Everyone is in the same boat, we all play the same gameâŚ.. put on enough fuel or suck it! Seriously, passenger planes are no where near max takeoff weight/fuel limits, youâre just short because someone is trying to save a few bucks and make a slim profit. F off!

Surely sprit airlines should be investigated if a practice of thereâs is to fly with such little fuel a plane canât queue to takeoff. Only add 1 or 2 other issues with flight time and then you have a deadly sequence.
