What is allergic eczema? I'm Dr. Manan Shah, I am an ENT and allergist here at Wyndly Health. Allergic eczema, or atopic dermatitis, is a skin condition that happens, and it's usually associated with having allergies like to pollen or dust mite or cat and dog. Ultimately, what happens, is your body has an allergic reaction, and that irritation can lead to scaly, itchy, irritated skin and these cracks in the skin can then lead to infections and can lead to scaling or scarring and stuff like that.

Ultimately, the easiest way to treat this is one through frequent moisturization, this keeps the skin from getting dry and broken. Trying to avoid itching. And then there are other things like, avoiding long baths, because again, you don't wanna wash away the natural oils on your skin, you wanna keep your skin moisturized, you wanna pat yourself dry instead of rubbing, because again, that can wipe down the oils. And then lastly, it's been shown that if you decrease your allergy triggers, you can avoid your allergic eczema. So if you'd like to learn more, please subscribe.

I’m 55 years old and never have had eczema, no allergies, no skin conditions nothing etc. In August of this year I awoke with a red spot on my forehead above my left eyebrow. It’s about the size of a 50 cent piece. It does NOT itch, it gets really red and will eventually peel and flake off and the process starts over. I’ve seen 3 Drs and they all say it’s probably eczema. I’ve been on antibiotics, steroid creams, about 6 prescriptions since August and it’s One Dr. said it’s strange but thought it was probably eczema. I’ve even had a biopsy and the Dr wasn’t too confident when she said it looks like maybe some eczema cells. I keep it moisturized as much as possible but it has never gone away. It will just get lighter than peel. The strange thing too is I just woke up with it there one morning. And that’s that. Any suggestions? The Drs. I’ve seen are excellent caring Drs. but no answers. I would really appreciate your thoughts . Ty kindly.

Hi doc, I'm having my skin getting bloated like a bite from an insect and it's very itchy. And it is spreading fast and got a red mark spreading. I'm suffering from it for about 4 days now.
