That was strangely satisfying to watch . With a car of this vintage , stripping down to bare metal is a good idea , you never know what you might find . . .

Wish I had this when I stripped my Alfetta 35yrs ago. Used paint stripper to remove 5 layers of paint but well worth it. The car is owned by a friend and still looks amazing after all this time. It pays to restore properly if you want a great finish after paint. Thanks Matteo 👍

Before 2002 I recall seeing an Alfa Romeo Montreal advertised on AutoTrader in South Africa for approximately ZAR 55,000 (GBP 2,800) - at the time they probably didn’t realise what a rare beast they owned.
