I will be sticking to the streamdeck because it is much easier to setup and works great with the rest of the Elgato ecosystem I have. Just picked up the StreamDeck+ and it is a freaking game changer for my audio control inside and outside stream.
I just wish that Elgato and Davinchi Resolve would work together because I hate trying to setup all of the keybinds for it.

Elgato has such a ecosystem with streaming products. Unless your a company willing to invest or your a company like Logitech or AVermedia that produces a product that can easily be changed to fit the streaming world. Then its probably better to leave the stream gear to the pro's.

I feel like this razer product would he useful for people who are already in their ecosystem, and it might be a little more efficient just to have it like that. However i feel like it would only be justifiable if when its on sale its less that the elgato stream deck.

I have both Razr and Elgatoās stream deck.
Razrās buttons are a bit more mushy feeling. Elgatoās is also mushy, but not as bad.

I want to see the software. We just saw hardware. You can copy hardware and make the software better. What if there are conditions? States? Toggle Buttons? Push-To-Hold buttons? StreamDeck is missing so much in their software, I really wish there is an innovative copy if the StreamDeck.

I have to say, I have 2 stream decks and the razer loupedeck, and as I use the Loupedeck more and more, I am really liking the software!! the sound settings for what channel the soundboard goes to in my BEACN software NEVER resets with windows updates, unlike stream deck, the OBS/twitch controls from the plugins dont stop working unlike streamdeck, and the loupedeck software doesnt keep adding more and more sources under task manager, many of my plugins for stream deck run iindependent of the stream deck software, where loupedeck is just built in to the software!!

They had one with knobs on the sides and buttons on the bottom that they released first that was a while ago, and elgato has one with knobs on the bottom instead of the sides. I remember seeing the razer one with knobs first but I cant say for sure who did what first. this one is basically the same as a stream deck and them basically trying to compete with the stream deck.

The thing that separates the 2 for me is the software. If we are being honest the razer isn't even a direct ripoff, it is a derivative ripoff. It is an iteration of the loupedeck. Which marginally improved on the elgato stream deck with the addition of knobs. Sadly the software has held them back.

This knock off is two layers deep when all they did was take Loopdecks stuff and put a Razer logo on it. Loopdecks tools and software are really really good for Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premier which is their target market.

I also appreciate the honesty bc here in Brasil electronics from well known brands such as razer have grouged up prices, so we NEED to know they they're the worst version of something else. Or else ppl would get scammed left and right

What's funny is I initially thought you were already calling the Razer Edge a knock off of the Steam Deck (which it may or may not be) before it's release. I was going to be like, well, if you'd like to buy my Steam Deck with Windows installed, I'm more than happy to sell it. š

It was definitely bad business sense for Razer to release this at the same price as the Stream Deck but it didn't have to be incremental or innovative to spark competition that's good for the consumers, considering elgato lowered the price of the stream deck at the time this Razer devices dropped. That's a win for us, baby! But thats the reason it was bad business sense for Razer. Is it compelling over the stream deck? Nah. Is it worth it to have it in the market? Absolutely. Also the comments you're receiving are a direct response to your video title so great job on making your video have such an engaging title š

Also, keep in mind that razers setup software called Synapse is absolute dogshit and should be fixed since years. It's completely broken.

What else are they supposed to add to a panel of buttons? Thatās all it is is a bunch of customizable buttons? Yea it may look almost exactly the same but if that were an issue they could sue for patent infringement do you see any lawsuits?
