You mean the barrel connector cable? I've seen them used a few times, just pop the would dead light of and chuck in the recycling. No screws required.

i never understood why people use side cutters for stripping cables, I was taught from day one to use cable shears, it's a lot easier you don't need multiple tools for different sizes or the outer or inner sleeves
