Breakup Myths BUSTED: The Real Source of Your Emotions

A client of mine had a recent BREAKUP, and she's been going through the grieving process of letting go of a past love.
She shared with me a real breakthrough.
She said, "I thought that the love I felt with my partner... CAME from my partner. And that, since I've LOST him, I've lost that LOVE, and I'll never get it back.
But now I've learned (through our coaching conversations) I didn't need this man for love.
Instead, I became loving. I felt love when I was around him. He was just a stimulus for me. And I was the SOURCE of love all along."
And it made me realize... your coaching clients, they PROJECT their emotions, their values, their beliefs, their traits onto OTHER PEOPLE.
Not just the emotion of love, but anything.
People, by default, think that everyone else is JUST LIKE THEM.
Or is the SOURCE of what they're going through in THEIR LIFE.
(Which is a gigantic source of confusion, disempowerment, conflict)
And you, as their coach, can help to resolve that by helping them take OWNERSHIP back... of their emotions, their values, their beliefs, their ideals.
And clarifying when somebody they projected that onto is really not the source of that at all.
